Overview
Every Sunday in high season the old main street of Takua Pa becomes a pedestrian zone: street kitchens and sweets between Sino-Portuguese shophouses, music, a Chinese temple at the end. Not a tourist market — the families of the area eat here. A good half hour north of Khao Lak; we arrange the taxi there and back.
